Who Are We:
The Recovery Center of Medina County (RCMC) is dedicated to strengthening communities by supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. Our integrated approach combines recovery support services with vocational training, anchored by our social enterprise: the Sérénité Restaurant and Culinary Institute. Located in Medina, Ohio, we serve individuals in recovery, empowering them with the tools and opportunities needed for long-term stability, independence, and dignity.
Mission:
To strengthen communities by supporting people and families in substance abuse recovery throughout Medina County, Ohio.
Vision:
Creating a community where individuals in recovery can rebuild their lives through meaningful employment, education, and support—transforming adversity into opportunity through culinary training and compassionate care.

Our Role in the Community:
We are an essential part of Medina County’s recovery ecosystem, offering services that go beyond traditional support groups. Through Sérénité Restaurant, students in recovery engage in a full-time, accredited culinary training program, earning wages and credentials that prepare them for a sustainable career. Our partnerships with Hope Recovery Community and the American Culinary Federation, strengthen our impact.
