Practical Tips for Overcoming Public Speaking Anxiety
Public Speaking ranks #1 as the most common fear for Americans. Understandably, many of us shy away from the spotlight or situations that open us up to judgement. Even the sharpest subject matter experts can struggle at confidently communicating a topic.
To help us chip away at our fear, Sarah Krafty, president of the Westgate Toastmasters Club in Toledo, will share practical tips for becoming more comfortable with public speaking. Whether we are addressing a small meeting, or leading a conference training session, Sarah will show us actionable methods for preparing, practicing and presenting our way to success.
Sarah Krafty is the current president of the Westgate Toastmasters Club in Toledo Ohio, which celebrates its 50thanniversary this year. Previously serving as the club’s VP of Membership, Sarah has been an active Toastmasters member since 2016. She has completed the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader educational track and is currently working on the Advanced Communicator Bronze in the legacy education track as well as the Innovative Planning Pathway in the new educational program.
As the owner of a travel agency, Sarah realizes the value of confident presentations and customer communication. She puts her Toastmasters training into practice every day and looks forward to honing her skills further.
